Alfred Leeson
« on: Saturday 30 January 10 18:21 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to fill in some gaps and would appreciate some help.

I believe Alfred Leeson was born about 1873 in Edenham near Bourne.  He married Clara Agnes Mosedale in December 1895.

I know he moved to Lincoln about 1930 and Clara's neice, Mary Frances kept house for him.  I therefore assume that Clara either left him or died but I can't find a death.  I would also love to know if there were any children, but again I haven't found any, so perhaps not.

Can anyone help to fill the gaps please?

Are they together on the 1911 census which would give details of any children as well

http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx

In 1901 they were living in Notts  had a son Charles aged 5 b Ruddington Notts

Clara Agnes was b 1874 in Notts - Gedling

Using the 1911 index shows them living in Sculcoates Yorks - still only Charles aged 15yrs but Clara was still alive then

What about the 1931 death on freebmd?

Thanks Carole.  Would you believe I checked deaths as far as 1930 and then gave up!

It would appear Alfred and Clara were already in Lincoln and Mary Frances (my Gran) must have moved to look after him.  She had been in service, but had a son (my Dad) who had been living with her parents.

I will try to find out more about the Son.   Dad never mentioned him, so perhaps he did not keep in touch with Alfred after Clara died.

Thanks again
