Missing Sandersons
« on: Sunday 31 January 10 10:19 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the Sanderson family in 1911: John b. 1870; wife Isabella b. 1882 & at least one child, Edward b. 1903. I had expected to find them in Newbiggin by the Sea as they are living there in 1913 when John is working as a stoneman in the coal mine.  John & Isabella were married in 1905 in Gateshead & I've searched there too, without any luck.  ??? I've hit a brick wall & would be grateful to anyone who could point me in the right direction!

Hi Edna and welcome to rootschat
I am sorry but we are not allowed to do 1911 census look ups as it contravenes the copyright of findmypast.  There are tips for searching the census here

Awful to do this on your first post - apologies.  We are a very friendly lot really!
Regards
Andrea

So sorry. I hadn't read that post before.

If this contravenes the rules I will hang my head in shame.

Edna have you tried searching for Bella Sanderson in County Durham?

Further to my previous post : I wasn't really asking anyone to do any look-ups for me, just for suggestions about where I could look next! I've tried lots of combinations in Northumberland & Durham & Cumbria for Isabella/Bella/Isobel & am now really stumped. My only thought now is that the whole family, if not completely missing from the census, have been mis-transcribed. Thanks to those who replied to my previous post. Any further suggestions gratefully received!
