It's an extracted entry, so is reliable. It's a baptism, not a birth. If you're lucky you might get an address and an occupation. Is this what you mean by "expand"? Or are you looking for more about Charles and Elizabeth?

They appear to have baptised children in Bedford between 1825 and 1849 (per an IGI parent search) and in 1851 Charles was a shoemaker 57 born Bedford. In 1841 an illegible Ancestry scan has them transcribed as Marmion, and to add to the confusion Charles is also transcribed as Thos. (per my dusted down CDrom set)

If you need the census details just shout

What appears to be their marriage is on the IGI in 1823 in Bedford St Paul

Looks as if his mother was Elizabeth Brier who married Charles Newman on the 28/7/1823 at St Paul, Bedford. (extracted version)

Langtry having already found the baptism of Frederick on the IGI, I didn't think think it necessary to spell out to him details of the marriage, it being sufficient to point him in the right direction when he could look it up himself.

I have a fairly simple philosophy - if it's online and free then posters are usually more than capable of checking things themselves. So much more satisfying to do things oneself!
