What are Visitations exactly.  Some of my ancestors are listed (I had already been told that but from the 2nd web page you gave, I could see it for myself.

Use these as a helpful aid - people often did their best to link themselves to more illustrious bearers of their name.

Most Visitations, though, usually list much of their sources (prs, wills, etc ) and can be checked.
Anything in Hethersett, Norfolk
Buckenham and Variants in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Goodlad in Suffolk.
Palmer in Birmingham

I know what you are saying about people trying to link themselves to more illustrious bearers of their names, but this particular tree has been very carefully researched, with wills etc.  Also the family at the time were very important and details of them can be found in the British Library.
