Deaths of Ralph and Harriet Chapman

I am trying to find the dates of death of  Ralph and Harriet Ann Chapman.
 The last known where abouts I have is in 1961 at 37 Edward Street, Halifax.(this was when Eleanor Bithell Harriet's mother died)
Harriet Ann nee' Robinson was Born 22.2.1905 Orrell, Litherland, West Derby.
Ralph Chapman was born c1906 and was a 'Textile Machine Fitter'. They were living in Oldham Lancs when Married. They had three children Avis, Joyce and Eric

You may have to check the death index available on some subscription sites or at many Family History Societies and Archive Depts. It is divded into quarters for each year so may be a long job You never know you may be lucky and get a lookup though!

You could narrow down the date of death by checking the Electoral Registers for Edward Street, Halifax to see when they no longer appear.

Ralph Chapman age 54 died 1960 Halifax Jan 1/4 2b 602

Harriet Ann Chapman born 1905 died 1975 Halifax July 1/4 4-0922 gives date of birth as 22 February 1905

That sounds like Harriet and Ralph

Poor Harriet she buried her husband and mother within a year.

Hi My Grandma was Harriet Ann Chapman (nee Robinson) she married Ralph and they had 3 children, Avice, Eric and Joyce who was my mum. Grandad Chapman died in his early 50s and I was too young to remember him. My grans last home was in Brighouse.
My great grandma Bithell also died when I was a toddler. My gran was a wonderful woman and stayed close to my mum all her life. When I get a minute I will post a photo of Ralph and Harriet.
