Did they live in houses there? Some of my family were Romany but not sure about the Thorpes so just wondering what they lived. They may well have been either Romany or Jewish.Or maybe just English.I Do not know.I think they were quite poor. They had over the years from 1881 until 1899 13 children.

When you see on the census how many families were living in one house, the conditions must have been quite poor. Don’t think I have connections to the Romany Community.
