 Is anyone researching Cunningham/Towie of Renton ? Wondering about a John Cunningham who married an Agnes Towie of Renton. My gtUncle
married their daughter at Montreal Quebec Canada ca1914

the only marriage i can see of cunningham/towie in scotland on scotlandspeople/IGI -
john cunningham and elizabeth towie 9th june 1873 cardross dunbarton

also a death elizabeth cunningham(other surname towie) 1938 renton dunbarton born c1854

Hi, just found this thread! Elizabeth Towie was the sister of my gggrandmother - Helen Towie who married Patrick Goldie in 1865.  The Towie family were originally from Sligo and arrived in Dumbarton before 1851!

Garysmissus....does Agnes Towie Cunningham sound familiar to you? Had anyone heard from her in Canada after 1914?

To be honest.....I hadn't followed Elizabeth apart from finding her marriage. I'm away from home until early Feb so will have a mooch at my gathered info when I return. Must admit Agnes's name rings a bell! Sorry I can't shed more light at the moment!
