On a related note...

Does anyone know the best way to try to find living relatives? I am trying to find Hugh's children/grandchildren. I'm using Facebook as the most obvious place (I have found 200+ half, 2nd, third etc cousins - all from the other side of the family!) but I am losing heart by having to randomly message every Cameron in Glasgow hoping to find a relative. I'm not asking for anyone to do my research for me, just point me to where I can look.

Many thanks everyone so far!

D

Hi Darren

Have you thought about sending a letter "Trying to make contact with relatives / descendents of xx xx" to the local papers in Glasgow?

The main local daily papers are the Daily Record and The Evening Times.

Hi again, Brian  :)

Actually, no! That has never occured to me. I'll do that tomorrow at work (I'm a printer - comes in handy at times). Thanks (again...)!

Darren

p.s. Are you my personal Guide or what? ;)
