llwynyrhebog llandeilofawr

I have an interesting problem. the farm Llwynyrhebog ,part of the Taliris estate was farmed by William Thomas in the 1841 census and then by his son Herbert Thomas and Wife Margaret (Edwards) in the 1851 census. In the 1861 census the farm is now run by Thomas James and his wife Rachel. The Thomas's seem to have disappeared. Herbert Thomas reappears as an innkeeper in Carmarthen Street llandeilo in the 1871 census.
Is there a lot of missing data in the Carmarthenshire census for 1861 and if so can this be found anywhere?
The persons involved are William Thomas (1792) Herbert Thomas (1826)  Margaret Thomas (1844) Thomas James (1827) Rachel James (1825)
Can anyone show any light on this. Herbert Thomas is my Great (x2) grandfather

1861 has a lot missing across England & Wales, not just Carmarthenshire unfortunately. Parts of Pembs, Carms & Monmouthshire were never sent in apparently.

the poster hasn't been on this site since Feb 2010. If they still have the same email address, they should get a notification and hopefully will come back.
