Have you located his family unit in 1911?
Where was he born?
Is his year-of-birth accurate?

His Father Joseph was 32 in born in STAFFS BROWNHILLS and Emily was also 32 born in YORKS HIGHGREEN.

There is one marriage between a Joseph Cooper and Emily Walker but this was in 1899, in barnsley.

Thanks Lisa

Well I can see joseph, b 1878 Hanley and wife Emily b High Green in 1901 census.

RG13/4313; Folio: 146; Page: 27

Looks like the 8 years married is erroneous.

Hi Lisa,

I read your comments, did you get to the bottom of the Cooper/Pilkington  saga.  I am trying to find my grandfather line (Joseph Cooper who married Ivy ? (think it was Palmer)) both passed away before I was born,  he could be the son of Joseph and Emily.  Any leads you have would be appreciated.
