I want to go this route by buying the Family Tree Maker 2010 and getting 6 months world wide access to Ancestry.  My current subscription is for the Premium option.  Would Ancestry upgrade me to Worldwide status for 6 months at no extra charge?

edit: I found this offer on MoneySavingExpert

"Family Tree Maker (World edition, ie includes 6 months "world" subscription to Ancestry.co.uk) is half price if you go directly to the publishers & put in the code FTMWORLD50.
http://www.avanquest.com/UK/education/family-tree/

If you buy via TopCashBack then you'll get 30% cashback as well! So £99.99 down to £49.99 then about £15 cashback so approx £35 (It's about £60 on Amazon currently)"

I have a Premium membership and they added on the free Essentials 6 months to my existing membership and gave me a free upgrade to Premium for those 6 months

I used the wrong email address when I installed FTM so had to ring them to sort it out.  I offered to pay for the upgrade but was told it was "with their compliments"

Thanks Parmesan. I've wanted to try FTM 2010 for a while AND my Ancestry sub ends at the end of June so this has come up at the right time! I've ordered via TopCashBack so if all goes well, could get 6mths World subs + updated FTM at very reasonable price! ;D

Thanks again, H.

Aye its good isn't it?  I currently have the Premium package on Ancestry and I'm due for renewal in July and was going to upgrade to Worldwide so its well worth it for me to go this route too.

Just checked my topcashback account and there is £15 sitting in 'pending' lovely jubbly!  ;D

I ordered the 2010 World FTM yesterday and it arrived this morning!

Not had chance to upload it until now.  I cannot activate the free 6 months membership but looking at moneysavingexpert forum a few people have had this problems.  They rang Ancestry who activated it manually, so I will ring first thing tomorrow and let you know how I get on.

Hi All,
I posted on another board - asking if anyone knew of any good deals offered for A..........y sub.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,460998.0.html

Morgan, posted a link to your message on this board, so I'm over here now.

I tried to order the FTM 2010 + 6 months World subs.  However I can't take advantage of that offer, because I'm in OZ. I could possibly download it ??? but, I want it in a box.

Dee, I know you are in OZ, could you tell me how you placed your order and with who.

Sarra, I just clicked on CaroleW's link and ordered through there. My software came in the post within 8 days, as I mentioned.
