Hi Kris;
I know very little except Elizabeth Married George Bush approx 1879, and was always told she was a Hardiment/mant, Looking through the church grounds i did come across Hardiment & mant head stones, i was hoping to make a match to her parents. she is down in the 1901 as birth Bunwell.

However i am not 100% sure  of it all. and it may well be Hardiman ?????????????

please don't waste to much time on this one, i will make some more enquries, and hopfully come back with something a little more concrete..

cheers again.
Regards Tony

Tony O know the name has nothing in common but as I cant find an Elizabeth Hardimant or like I just looked for a marriage. Could be of interest that a George Bush= Elizabeth Smith Depwade Dec 1/4 1879 4b 637. Now Bunwell is in the district of Depwade ...I tried again in 1871 for Elizabeths around the right age born Bunwell and there is an Elizabeth Smith age 11 would you believe....Could there be a big mixup with her name....Kris  :D

Hi Kris;
This is very interesting, I will have to follow this up.
I may have been miss informed, and Hardiment may come into another part of the  family, I know via the 1901 census Dunston that Elizabeth Bush bn Bunwell approx 1860, married to George Bush, and family is mine...

The interest also comes via a lady in South Africa which i have been trying to help for quite some time and also mentioned in the second addition of "Norfolk Roots Mag", With the Smith family at Bunwell, its a long story, but is turning out to be very interesting and concerning...

Thanks again for your efforts they are indeed a major help, any thing else you might find would also be grateful.

Kind regards Tony.........

Hi Tony

Well far be it for me not to have my two pennorth!  There are Hardyman families in Bunwell in 1861 but no Elizabeth, there are two families who might have had a child later in the year!

RG9/1234/117/21/119 Bottom Bunwell
Charles Hardyman Head Mar 33 Dealer in Fowles NFK Carleton Rode
Hannah wife 32 Flordon
Sarah 7 Bunwell
Robert 6 Bunwell
Emma 4 Bunwell
Mary Ann 2 Bunwell
so very possible

118/23/131 Rose? Lane
George Hardyman HEad Mar 36 Ag lab Bunwell
Martha wife 35 Carleton Rode
Henry 13 Ag lab Bunwell
John 12 Ag lab Bunwell
Alfred 10
George 7
Charlotte 5
Sarah 3
Martha 2  all children b Bunwell
and again quite possible another was on the way.

Hope that helps if it is a Hardyman

Good Theory Brian but alas Neither family appear to have a daughter Elizabeth by 1871...Charles and Hannah are now in Carleton Rode with Robert and Mary A and George and Martha are still in Bunwell with Martha and a couple of additions Fredrick 10 and Charles 6...We also have Henry and Emily with sons 10 and 7 but alas not an Elizabeth in sight..Kris  :D
