Carnmoney Presb., baptisms?
« on: Thursday 07 June 07 12:16 BST (UK) »
Dear Dixie Dee

This is a long-shot, and apologies if it is out of order, but do you have access to the baptisms at Carnmoney for circa 1870.  I have reason to believe that my husband's grandmother Sarah Adams was born in Carnmoney, but can't prove it as the Census record for Great Malvern St is lost for 1901 and she died in childbirth the following year.   She married William Bradshaw, and I therefore know that her father was John Adams, and her mother was Agnes ?
I have also tried the GRO records too, but no luck so far.

PS thank you for all the entries so far, I scan them for Adams etc.,

Hi Butlerclan.
Sorry, what I have goes back from 1867, with a couple for 1868. I was working back through the the years. Started jotting the 1858 baptisms down for posting, but have been a bit under the weather for a while, so have not got around to doing it yet.
Had a quick looksee for Adams and found a few baptisms to parents, Rev., I. Adams and Eliza Dundee, around 1840's, (think the "I" is for Isaac). If they sound familiar, let me know and I'll sort out all the baptisms to them and post them.
Regards,
Dixie

Thank you Maryderry.  Sorry not to have been back sooner.  I just found that ref myself on the IGI, so it is a possibility.   I then wondered whether Agnes Boner came from Carnmoney as Agnes Adams, my Sarah's mother, was buried in Carnmoney in 1928 aged 87 although she lived at the time in Disraeli St. Belfast!!

Thank you too DixieDee for replying.
