IGI lists Cathrine Dillon born 10 June 1878 Lisnascuaghy, Co. Londonderry, Ireland. Parents Patrick Dillon    & Jane Quigg.
If these are the right parents it still doesn't prove this is the correct catherine as it was very common to re-use a Christian name if an earlier child died.

Added- forgot to say that IGI version of 'Lisnascuaghy' is most likely Lisnacreaghog.

The IGI record for the Bernard Higgins born in 1882
show his DOB as 20-Mar-1882 and his address as Brockagh Parish  GARVAGH

 His father is listed as George Higgins farmer and his mother as Mary O'Hagan

The information i have is our Bernard Higgins was born 1876 in Brockagh and died 1 Feb 1954 in Lisnascreaghog and accordind to his marriage cert. 1909 his father was George Higgins a farmer, it is possible that the dates i have and the one you have could both be wrong or they are two different Bernard's.

Is the information about his birth date just from the census because I know from experience,that the ages given are sometimes(if not usually !) wrong

My information came through both Aghadowey and Sheila8 possibly from the 1911 cencus which i also checked out, i also agree that dates are not always correct, below is from Aghadowey

2.   James "Jamie" Higgins (5 July 1911 Lisnascreagh).
3.   Mary Jane Higgins (2 Oct.1913 Lisnascreagh).
4.   Patrick Joseph Higgins (Feb.1912?-26 June 1975).
5.   Bernard Higgins.
6.   Francis Higgins.

Hi,
   One thing to keep in mind is that infant deaths were fairly common and there was a tradition of naming the next child of the same sex by the same name as that of the child who had died.
