Jacquie and Karenlee..........yes, I think the surname GRIELLUS is a dud. I'll stick to searching for Myra BUCKLEY and unknown male only.
You have both been very helpful. Thankyou

I looked through Automatedgenealogy.com
without luck.
Census in Canada is not released until about 90-100 years.
Marriages are about 80 years.
I did do a cemetery search in ontario - found lots of Buckleys but no griellus!
Soundex?

I went to
www.canada411.ca
and put in the name and no Griellus but it did give alternates that you might want to check.

Gerelus
Grealis
Grills
Grigelis
Gielis
Grislis
This could take a lot of work but late at night with nothing else to do you might come up with something.

checked automated genealogy for Grills and Grealis

1901 census has William Grealis b. 1893 and his father is also named William living in Toronto. couldn't find them on the 1911 but could be spelled differently.

1911 census also has several William Grills in various provinces including Ontario and BC. I would concentrate on these two names and see if something pops up. I couldn't find anything that would connect with your Myra. It wasn't uncommon to marry someone much older though. If your Myra had a son named Billy (William) he could still be alive.

Hello:
I have looked in the Ontario cemetery Finding aid
http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/search.php
Have not found Myra Buckley or Griellus.
Is it possible she might be in another province? or remarried?

Most of the Toronto Cemeteries are not listed on that site, so if they did remain in Toronto very unlikly you would find them on there.

Maybe the surname I was told (GRIELLUS) was a misspelt French or French-Canadian surname........any suggestions from French-speaking Canadians out there regarding what the surname could be?

i also ran Grealis, Grills, and several other synonyms. Also tried all variations in Automatedgenealogy.com. Also ran Buckley - no luck so far.
