Frank DRUMMOND Tasmania

I remember being told that mothers cousin Frank Drummond emigrated to Tasmania. Frank was born in Jarrow, Co. Durham, England in 1913. He previously worked as an engineer in the oil industry in Abadan, Persia. I am guessing that he would have emigrated just before or just after WW11. Doesn`t seem much to go on really, but perhaps someone may be able to have a quick look for me. I would be very grateful

I have found a Frank Drummond buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery Tasmania.
He was buried 21/10/1974 aged 61 years.
His wife Mrs D Drummond was his next of kin.
This Frank had the middle names of David Carruthers.

Age for your Frank matches this one.

Hi Johngirl. Franks mums maiden name was Carruthers so it seems pretty certain that you have found him. If there is any more info on Frank to be discovered I would love to hear it. And thank you very much for looking into this for me

I think he was married to a Dorothy Mary. and had a son called Roger.
