Doughton family

I'm trying to find out more about this family.
Amy Doughton was born in Westminster in 1851 (married Thomas Johnson in 1871) and had a brother Rupert born 1849 (he married in 1875 and died in 1876). On the 1871 census they were both staying with the Redfern family in Stockport (Thomas Johnson was in the house next door) and are shown as sister-in-law and brother-in-law to the head.
From this I would take the Head's wife Amnah (born approx 1834 in Dartford Kent) to be their sister. This may not be so as the family always said Amy was a 'Redfern'.

Can anyone help with info re the Doughtons
