I am trying to trace the R C birth /baptism / marriage records of my G Grandfather John King born Kilrush co. Clare 1840. his mothers name was Mary Green.In 1856 age 15/16 he joined the Royal Navy and later transferred to  the coastguards service c 1878. His wife was Kate Agnes Welsh. I have traced 9 children born between 1870 and 1891.The first born in Sligo 1870 then three in Ballyshannon Coastguard Station 1876, /78/79 and one in Rock Donegal 1880. He served on HMS Valiant from 1968 until he was shore pensioned in 1890. at the time of his death on a visit to Glasgow his home address was recorded as Quarry Road Limerick.
