Please, does anyone have information on the antecedants of Patrick Loftus born c1880 possibly in Scarriff, and who came to England to live on the outskirts of Sheffield.

hi patrick loftus oct-dec 1879 scariff volume 4 page 421 births .
contact staff at ennis BMD by email you will probaly have to fax above info to them with credit card details cost 2-4 euros for photo copy of entry . they are very helpful ask them to search for any siblings births either side of 1879 , ask them to search for parents marriage also .
they charge 2 euros to search 4 euros for P C of entry .

Thank you for replying to my enquiry - this would seem to be the man I want but unfortunately I cannot contact "Ennis BMD." I entered just that with no result, then tried variations on Ennis, County Clare, Scarriff, Irish Archives to name but some.

Please - how do I contact Ennis BMD ?

ok civil registration of ennis co clare , sandfield centre ennis .
google roscommon GRO . look for ennis office it gives phone no. ring and ask for an email address you can contact , this office should give details esp of births very quickly , ask them to do searchs .
you can contact roscommon gro they will give details in few weeks but less likely to search much busier .

Hi Bee80 I am also researching the Loftus family Co. Clare.9Kilmurry) I have ancestors of Patrick Loftus born abt 1832 died abt 1880, had children Johanna,brn abt 1878,Thonas no bm,died abt.1905,Michael no bm died 1961 Woolwich Greenwich London.
