Hi Sunflower,

Thanks for looking again and thanks for the information on the directories page. I've had no luck in finding the pub in Beckingham so far but I'm still looking.  I have high hopes that the Robert Curtis you found was my gg Grandfather.

Regards,

Allan

Wow!  That's great Sunflower, thankyou so much.

I realise that I'm probably getting to be a bit of a pain but I have one more request....

I trawled trough the 19 pages of the 1871 census records for Beckingham today looking for pubs and found the Hare & Hounds (Prop. Annie Fletcher) as well as the Crown.  I also unexpected found Edmund STOVIN, widower aged 82 running the local Post Office and Grocers.  I then found Robert Curtis and Sarah Stovin getting married in Sculcoates (why they went to Yorkshire, I have no idea ???).  So my request is the next time you're looking at the 1841 census, could you see if you can find the following family in Beckingham:

Edmund Stovin aged abt. 52
His wife (this is the person I'm really looking for)
Edmund Stovin aged abt. 24
Sarah Stovin aged abt. 19
Eliza Stovin aged abt. 14 (Still living with her father in 1871 and married to a Mr Dickenon)

Many Thanks,

Allan

Wow again Sunflower!

And I've just found a marriage for Edmund Stovin and Mary Keyworth in Beckingham in 1812 through IGI.

This definitely is my lucky day! :) :)

Thanks again,

Allan
