What were James's parents names as you said above that the names on that death for 1930 don't match.

Merlin - James' parents (for his birth in 1857 that is sorry) were Edward Denning and Harriet(te) (Allman I believe atm).

Thanks, Alli

You are a magician!

Although it could be James' brother, John (born 1848).

Maybe I'm a naive modern lass - but Edward and Harriett seemed to have a ridiculous number of children (13) across a 30 year span.  This seems a long time for a woman to be birthing children!

MAWSON John = SULLIVAN Mary at  Paddington 1862 #1108

1863 directory lists him as a Tailor of Victoria St Paddington

Big Gap

1883 a tailor at Chapman St off Phelps St

from 1887 a tailor of Gowrie St Newtown

I don't see any births listed in the NSW index.

It seems they were in NZ for a time

How do you know James Dennings parent's names?

The details on the death certificate will be only s good as the informant's knowledge of the deceased.

You can purchase the Marrigae certificate from a transcription agent a lot cheaper and quicker.

I  would just offer my opinion here and advise you to buy the marriage certificate as the couple would have given the information.

Thanks Jenn
