John Russell b1840 aged 74 years ( Registered 20th March 1914 )

Died March 19th at 17 Rawstone Street, Clerkenwell.

Hi, we might be on the same track, however this is not the John Russell that I am looking for. I have also got a death certificate for a John Russell born abt 1838, he died in 1900 at 115 Elizabeth Street, but I can't find out if it is my John Russell as the address does not really tie in with the family, nor the occupation of General Labourer.

My Russell line was fully completed about 15 years.  The above certificate was sent to me by mistake, so rather than throw it away I placed it on the site to see if it was anyone else's.

But for general info, my Russells are from Somerset and moved to London in the late 1800's where they worked as Telegraphists in the GPO.

Many thanks for your reply, my Russells were in Woolwich/Deptford from the early 1800's so no connection. However George Russell born abt 1775 not in Kent in 1841 census. Thus far not found out where he was born.
