Can you date and restore this photo please?

It's not a good photo so if anyone would be able to do any restoration as well I'd be really grateful - just a straight restore please.

The main thing though is the date please?

What these are wearing was pretty much standard over a long period from around late 1880's - 20thC.
It would help if we knew what it was printed on what size it is & what's on the back.

Not much info. re the Lee brothers except they were at this address in 1881 but both seem to have disappeared from Swansea by 91,so somewhere in between those dates.

Hi bevbee...this photo has been cropped...what we wanted to see was the outer corners, with a little bit of space around the edges, as the shape of the corners and the look of the cardboard backing are  dating tools.

The only Lee Brothers I can find are in Neath in 1875, and later there is a J. Lee at 191 St Helen's Avenue in Swansea in 1884.

The best way to date a photo is to have a look at the clothing of an adult woman in it. Since there isn't one in this, I'd go with Jim's estimate.

Here's the one from North Wales that I said was about 1890 for comparison. My Gran was about 12 here and she was born 1878.
