hi can anyone give me any history of a place or house called Knockbarrow? I may have conections to this place but dont know how, sounds confusing ;) dosent it.
A relative mentioned it in a letter, some years ago. names connected may be Quinn, farrell, Breen, Mcquaid . thanks and regards Mike :)

You will find several places in IreAtlas. There is no Knockbarrow but do a search for Knockba at the beginning of the field. There are several possibilities.  If you still have the letter and can give a bit more information I may be able to help further

Thanks for that ,I think Knockbarragh in Co Down would be the place. Some of my ancestors lived on Kilbroney Rd so the place fits. In the letter it says the people who lived their were called Quinn and the house had orchards. sorry I cant be more specific thats all I have. Regards Mike

Miles out of the way. Knockbarragh and Kilbroney Road are near Rostrevor.
