Charles King - Dyrham
« on: Tuesday 16 February 10 14:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to find information on my GG Grandfather who was born in Dyrham, Glos. in 1791. He married an Elizabeth Long in Somerset in 1824 and lived in Bath until his death in 1854. I can find no trace of his parents or siblings and any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

John King   ???

John,

The LDS has filmed the church records of Dyrham and Hinton - see http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=topicdetails&subject=590021&subject_disp=England%2C+Gloucester%2C+Dirham+and+Hinton+%2D+Church+records&columns=*,0,0  - select subject and then View Film Notes.

For some reason the LDS has not extracted the details which is why there's no entry in the Hugh wallis site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm#PageTitle

Seems you need to visit the Bristol R.O. - their ref. is in film notes or hire an LDS film.

Regards

Chas
