A Missing marriage
« on: Tuesday 16 February 10 18:20 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I am having trouble finding a marriage and wonder if anyone can help please?

Violet Margaret Rebecca Cull (b 1901)
married
John William Fisk on 23 Jun 1923

They had 4 children then divorced (?)

Violet then apparently married Daniel Ephraim Smith (b.1897) but I can't find any reference to it on a******y and I wonder if anybody can help find it anywhere else.

TIA

Cheeky  :-*

Hi

Perhaps it was only "apparently" and they never actually married

You would need to first establish when she divorced so you have a better idea of approx when the marriage may have taken place

Were there any children from this second marriage?  You could check for dates when those children were born to narrow down any time span

Once you have a rough "from date" it would mean searching the full GRO index for a possible marriage entry

Is everything said to be all in the one county (ie) Surrey as there are births in Brentford which is Middlesex

What surname was Violet's death registered under

Hi, thanks for the reply...

the last child born to her first marriage was in 1929 and the first child in the second marriage was born in 1937

I would assume it all happened in Surrey but we should never assume with family history!!!  ::)

If you look at the birthplaces of the children from the first marriage - it was Brentford
