Thank you for starting this thread,
I've voting in the poll.
I'm attaching a photo, the youngest lady was born in Manchester in 1853, and was 20 when she emigrated, arriving in New Zealand.
The photo is precious and the original is held by a cousin. The wonderful restorers here at RChat worked miracles on it for Christmas 2008, and I thanked them at that time. In mid 2009 we sent several of the restored copies to a USA based grand-daughter (born in NSW Australia just after WW1) of that youngest lass and she was so very pleased to see the photo.
The restorations are considered PRICELESS by our extended family members, and so I am thrilled to post on this thread.
Many thanks to everyone who contributes to helping out on any RChatters photo restorations, and with identifying fashions, styles, the types of card/corners and all those clues that amateurs like myself simply don't notice until kind RChatters help.
My cousins and I are now fairly certain that these three women are part of our family history, thanks to RChat (but of course
).
Cheers, JM
