Was residing at 32 Paringa Road Glenorchy Tasmania.
Next of kin was Russell Norman James husband(he is deceased..not sure how he was next of kin as Russell died in 1977 )
Russell Norman James was cremated 28/12/1977 Cornelian Bay Cemetery,Derwent Gardens ..Niche Wall,section 22,number 16,section D (next to his wife Neah )and was residing at 32 Paringa Road Glenorchy at the time of his death.
His next of kin was L E James wife ???Must be an error with the L

Thank you, Johngirl. It all adds to my knowledge of my previously unknown Aussie relatives.  It's just a pity I didn't start this when my friend was a GP in Tasmania - I could have made use of him, but he's now in NSW!

Thanks to all your help, I've filled a lot of blanks in my Tasmanian Probert tree.  I've now come up with another problem. The electoral roll for 1954 shows Joyce Pauline Probert, a nurse, living with Neah Probert (also a nurse) in Campbell St, Hobart. Does anyone know who Joyce is/was? I can find no other reference to her.

Joyce Pauline PROBERT appears on the electoral rolls in QLD from 1958-1980 which is the extant they are currently available online.
By checking those you will see who else is living at the same address.

This has opened a whole new box of tricks. Loads more Proberts, but I can't see how they're linked to the Tasmanian family! I assume they must be, somehow.
