Richard Twigg
« on: Sunday 21 February 10 07:41 GMT (UK) »
I would like to try and find further information on a Richard Twigg born about 1830. It turns out he is my gr grandfathers older brother. I know he married a Charlotte Collins, and had 2 daughters Charlotte and Harriet. but other than that I have nothing. I don't even know if the girls married or what. They were with their grandmother Mary Ann Barnes [ Mary Ann remarried about 1836 to a James Barnes], who her first husband was seems to have to remain a mystery, as I have not been able to find anything. She was listed as a widow when she married James Barnes.

Thank you everyone for your replies to my query for Richard Twigg. I will no longer need to look for descendants from that line. Such a shame when that happens. Would have liked to have been able to find out something about Richard and if there was any info regarding Richard and Joseph's father and mother, but never mind, these things happen.

If I could see you, I would hug you. Yes. your Richard is my Richard. I am descended from richards brother Joseph. I had all but given up in ever finding anything on Richard, I know he had 2 daughters who both died unmarried. My email address is (*) I also know a \nother cousin who would want to hug you, she is also descended from Joseph, we were able to trace them to the 1841 census, but have not been able to find anything before that.
Looking forward to hearing Bev
