lookup medal roll please

If someone is going to Kew would they please look at the medal rolls for me.  I wish to know what battallions my grandfather served with and the dates.

He was wounded and survived.  I would like to see the war diaries to try to find out where he was and what happened

Hello Jean I've modded your post a bit, so as it is in keeping with RC copyright rules, and so as no one gets confused betwixt "roles" and "rolls"

As he was a SWB recipient, have you checked on Anpestry for his pension records???

I have looked on ancestry and no pension records are listed.  I don't know why because his injuries took  a long time to heal.  From what my father said he was in and out of hospital and he can remember him doing fretwork to get his hand moving again.

Have you tried searching using his MGC Regt number rather than his name??
