Hi Nikitah,
I have just found this thread. I have have Mary Fraser and David Rose in my tree, I'm wondering if you have found out any more? Janet, Mary's sister is my 2x g grandmother as far as I know, I can't seem to get any Fraser DNA matches to confirm I'm on the right track. Do you have a tree on Ancestry?

Hi Marg, good to hear from someone in  this family line, I haven't done much for while and as you are probably aware , there are that many roads leading to the Frasers then they stop   , I don't have a tree on ancestry, my son did a dna with them that made it even more confusing. I have lots of evidence from scotlandspeople  I will see what I have , as far as the line for David Rose and Mary goes there aren't many survivors. I will get back to you soon . nikitah.

HI Marg, I have Janet Fraser Marys sister born12/ 10 1819 daughter to Simon Fraser,  mason  in Tomvoit and his wife Mary Fraser at Boleskine. Janet was present at the death of her sister Mary Rose , when Mary died age 45 11 December @ Farraline Marys father Simon Fraser mason dec' and mother Mary Fraser ms Fraser also dec. Do you have Janets death after 1870 if you do it should also tell you her parents, My Rose family all seem to have worked at Farraline  David as master gardener and Mary as housekeeper / cook, is it possible Janet lived and worked in the same area  have you found her on any census? ie in 1881 she would be 62 give or take a year possibly working in service . If you already have all this can you let me know, Don't take anything from anyone elses tree unless there is evidence. Take care nikitah.

Hi Marg, It certainly looks like your on the right trail . My son isn't on ancestry he was given the dna test for Christmas, I might add that he isn't a Fraser he is descended from Jessie (Janet ) Rose  daughter of David Rose and Mary Fraser so the Fraser line is a bit diluted, he is on holiday at the moment but I will ask him if I can share it with you. Have you found a death for Simon Fraser Janet and Marys father?. many thanks nikitah

Hi Nikitah,
I'm still looking, so far the only Simon I have found married to Mary Fraser was a minister, I also haven't found Mary's death as yet. He had to have died at least before 1851.
There are a few on Ancestry one has him dying in Australia (which I doubt) The others at a much later time. Will keep looking.
