The 1907 passenger list has their final destination as Montreal, so I think it might make sense to move this thread to the Canada board.

Hi,
Looks like you have come up trumps again.. Just checked Charles baptism record on Ancestry. Born 30.10.1882, bap 12.11.1882. Father Charles William Plumb and Elizabeth. Marriage on Ancestry has a Charles William Plumb/ Elizabeth Thomton(think this is a transcript error) Please do move to Canada board. Any further info will be welcome, Elizabeths death/children etc.

Thanks

john

It may be coincidence, but there is a Charles John Plumb shown on the Beechwood Burial Register, Ottawa, Carleton County.  Two other Plumb's listed on the register (Albert William and John):

It looks like Elizabeth and the children returned to England during WWI.

Mrs. Eliz Plum (29), Charles (9) and Willie (6) were on the Scandinavian which departed from St. John, New Brunswick and arrived in Liverpool on 20 Dec 1915. They were heading to 156 Chatsworth Rd, Clapton Park, London.

They returned on the Olympic which departed from Liverpool and arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 20 Apr 1917. Elizabeth (31, born England, lived in Canada for 10 years), Charles (10, born England), Willie (7, born Canada) and Rhoda (1, born England) destined for Ottawa. Here's a link to the passenger list at Library and Archives Canada (first family listed):

Here's the Canadian passenger list for the family when the ship arrived in Canada before going on to Portland:

There's a birth for a Rhoda V. Plumb that was registered in the first quarter of 1916 in Hackney, Greater London (vol 1b, p 745). The mother's maiden surname is listed as Walker.
