Ralph Bramwells Third Wife
« on: Tuesday 02 March 10 23:36 GMT (UK) »

Hi All,

I,m hoping that someone could kindly do a marriage look up for me for my 3x great grandfather  Ralph Bramwell and his third wife.
Her name was either Mary O'Connor or Mary Kelly according to two trees that I have seen on another site and they married sometime between 1852 and 1855 in Bolton.
I really want to find out which Mary he married and would be very grateful for any help anyone can give me.

Regards

Hi

Have you checked freebmd or LancsBMD first - she was O'Connor and it was 1855

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com              www.lancashirebmd.org.uk

LancsBMD shows it as a registry office/registrar attended marriage so you would need to buy a copy of the cert for further details

Hi Carole,
Thank you, it was Mary O'Connor.

Its been driving me mad as I have only just got to grips with this part of my family and have his first two wives names and was just a wee bit thrown to find that he had married again for a third time.
Once again many thanks.

Regards

Hi Oldbloke50,

This is quite an old thread and I have the information on Ralph’s first marriage to Martha Oldfield and his second marriage to Rachel Balshaw and his marriage to Mary.
I descend through James older brother Robert’s line.
I have a photo of James and his wife Rebecca and some photos of some of their family.

Not need to apologise.

Yes I have lots of information on the family in Bolton, (my grandad was born there).
Even know that some of Martha Bramwells descendants ended up in New Zealand and some from my line ended up in America.
Ralph had six children with Martha his first wife, none with Rachel and two with Mary.
Also know of the comedian we have in the family that descends through Roberts (the same as me) line.

Hi,

Ralph was illegitimate as was his sister Mary, both born in Tideswell Derbyshire.
I have photos of some of James and Rebecca’s children (Thomas, Robert and Clara. Also have a photo of Ada)
I also have a photo of James sister Martha, her husband Anthony and their children.
My dad when he was alive can remember visiting his Nana who lived if I remember correctly in back street, he said she was a very strict lady.
