just a word of caution, if you do decide to view the records on the bmdregisters site, be careful as to how much it will cost.

You don't get much for your money, ie it costs 25 credits (i think) to view a transcription, then another 25 credits to view an image on a page and credits are pricey.

They might have changed that now, Dawn; I've not used it myself but it is now saying that to view an image costs 5 credits (£2.50).
I would avoid viewing the transcription if possible and simply get the full image; the OP should be able to get both the birth and baptism record for £5 (the lowest amount of credits you can buy).

You do have to be careful with these sites; in particular here a "simple" search is free and an "advanced" is 50p, but there's no need for the advanced search because there just aren't that many Brinsleys. Also there's usually no point in buying a transcription if you can just go straight to downloading the image.

Not very cost-efficient if you have a lot of research to do in these records but it's fine for one or two.
