Inworth is in the Lexden district from 1880 and lies between Chelmsford and Colchester on a line and is SE of Braintree which it probably came under pre 1880.............and it is next door to Witham! where Walter was born

Their is a William Whipps who married in the March qtr of 1841 at Braintree, vol 12, page 25..........unfortunately when you look at the page number only William shows and no female..........it looks like the right William? in the right place.

Thanks to both Sue and Bryant for your help.

It looks like by 1841 William already had 3 children - but maybe he was  married after they were born.

Another mystery to look into.

Thanks for that.  Also picked up William's parents as a bonus.
