Does anybody know if there is a link between the Hart, Foster, and Martin families of Bassingham, Lincolnshire, UK?

Hi and welcome to rootschat :)

What time frame are you interested in?  Bit more info would enable people to do some checking for you.

Also it would be a good idea to tell us what you already know to avoid duplication. ;D

Yes, I should have given a little more information. I have a number of indentures, leases, and wills from as early as 1784. In these documents there are names of tenants and landlords and other information. I found them in my parent’s attic in London years ago. There is only one lease that is connected to the Martin family and I have to assume that the rest are related to the property in some way. However, I can’t help thinking that there is some connection between the names that appear in these documents and the Martin family. Some of the names are Foster, Hart, Dunn, Collingham, Hayward.

I will be transcribing all of them for clarity of information, but in the mean time, I was wondering if there is some way to find out how these documents might be related to the Martins. I have checked the census back to 1841 but found no connections. Perhaps some of these names would show up on an extensive tree of Martins in Bassingham, Lincoln. Does one exist? Peter
