yes great job in finding him!  ...and no, Debbie, sorry I didn't say that correctly, by "your relative" I meant "the relative for whom you seek..."
The initial goal of the query being to seek close relatives with whom to correspondent.

Hopefully, the Easton contact or the Personal Member family tree through ancestry will lead you to a living relative interested in Gordon Reginald Gratton. Obviously, someone in the family has an interest in their history as there is a family tree.

Good luck and let us know if we can help with anything else.
Val

I agree that contacting the person with the family tree is a great suggestion. They have already shown an interest in the family history. .....   contacting the paper in Saulte is probably a wasted expense since there is only the one Grattan shown to be in the vicinity, and he insists there is no relationship....Good luck from me as well  J.J.

J.J.

Dorothea Grattan married an Easton and there is a living Easton in Sault Ste Marie. That is who I am suggesting that Luca get in touch with.

Is there any way to contact the owner of that family tree without being a subscriber to ancestry.

I'm not sure.

Luca, if you are interested in contacting that person then please PM me your email address and I can send a message to them on your behalf.

Hello, I am related to Gordon Reginald Grattan.  He was my mother's youngest brother.  If you need further information please advise and I will put you in contact with my first cousin who has been doing a lot of family research.  I may be able to answer some questions.  I am very interested in any information that you may have.  The posted picture is great.  Do you have a close up of Don's (Gordon's) headstone?  Which of the three headstones in the posted picture is Don's?

Hoping to hear from you.

Elizabeth
