Karl and Caroline were my grandparents
During the war Karl was interned as he was German
During the war years Caroline met Herbert Moate, when the war ended she had Karl deported back to Germany
My father Herbert Leslie although really an Og took the name of Moate and came to Australia at the age of nine in 1925 with his mother and stepfather.
Several of my fathers brothers and sisters were left in England.

Hi,
I am one of the Great Grand-daughters of Audrey Og (1912),  Unfortunately she died within the last 10 year.  She Married Frederick Jones,  They had 4 Children, Alan (alive), George (alive) William (past) and Muriel (My nanna) who just past last week. 

Muriel (nanna) married Robert Dobbinson (alive) and had 3 kids David, Fred, Brian (my dad)

 I can remember my great Nanna (Audrey Irene) telling me that either her dad or granddad cannot remember which) was German and had came over to sink the pits.  I have researched when Dawdon pit was sunk and it was started 1900 and completed 1907, which Nanna was born 1912 so guessing Karl Friedrich A Og could have been her dad?  She used to sing German nursery rhymes to us x
