Breakthrough on Bates!!!!!
« on: Sunday 07 March 10 23:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi :),

Thought you all would like to know I had  a breakthough on my Gladys Noreen Bates nee Lunt!!!!!!

Totally unexpected, and strangely never found before when searching Ancestry.
Could it be possible that it would have only recently been added??

I have never ever come up with her full name, and goodness knows I have tried many times, but last night it came up  the full  name and death year 1982 , in Suffolk !!

::)IT JUST SEEMED TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!.but  I posted on Suffolk Rootschat, this morning, and 10 mins later  ;D  forum members had not only found her date of birth ( exact) but even the cemetery where she is buried.
How wonderful  you all are !!!

I HAVE BEEN TRYING NOW FOR 8 years, for this Bates family, so you can imagine how it feels.

Now, it means a definate marriage to find in Antrim  for James Bates and Gladys Lunt, again guesswork as to year-but most likely before 1940.

So many forum members have told me never give up!!!, and sometimes I  nearly did.

Thanks
Elsa-Mary
