John higgins shropshire bricklayer

I am trying to find out more about John Higgins of WEM Shropshire. I know he was born about 1823 and that his fathers name was also John and he too was a bricklayer. I know nothing other than that. John Junior later moved to Bilston where he married Susannah Evans of Trewern Montgomeryshire. They married in Wolverhampton in 1846. John later remarried to Jane Ashley in about 1870. I would like to know if anyone has any idea of the location of John Seniors birthplace. There is a family belief that we are of Irish descent but I am yet to find any evidence to support this..everything points back to WEM in Shropshire. Can anyone out there help??????

Ithink that..the only concern for me is that the names of John juniors children in later life dont appear to match up with these and that is unusual for my family

Thats fantastic thank you so much.  Im a bit dopey..is the IGI a definitive "it is definately" that Higgins.  I dont quite understand IGI TBH. 

I am a little upset if it is..No Ireland again, this desputes everything that I was ever lead to believe! still never mind LOL
