Elizabeth Vose marriage, Callan
« on: Wednesday 10 March 10 02:31 GMT (UK) »
Could some kind person verify an IGI marriage for me please?

Elizabeth Vose and Edmond Butler 24 Feb 1846, Callan, Kilkenny.

Unfortunately this is a submitted entry with no batch number etc, another entry shows the marriage as 23 Feb 1746 same place, both entries state that Elizabeth was "of Callan" and was born about 1825.  I am hoping, probably in vain, that the marriage will give the name of Elizabeth's parents.

I am trying track the family of Edward Vose and his wife Elizabeth Weller who were married 1819 at Frindsbury Kent, Edward was obviously a soldier because the 1851 census for Greenwich, Kent shows him as a Chelsea Pensioner and Labourer.

For two of the children, William (c1727) and Edward (c1729) the 1841 census for Greenwich has an I in the column for Born in the County, instead of the usual Y or N so I assume the I is for Ireland.

The 1851 Greenwich census states that another child Mary was born about 1831 in Ireland (William & Edward not at home that evening) but didn't give the county.

I would be very grateful if someone could check Elizabeth's marriage for me.

Regards.
