William MORLEY of Woodhouse,Leics
« on: Thursday 11 March 10 16:16 GMT (UK) »
Hello all, I'm researching my family at the edge of the census and wondered if anyone else was doing Morley's of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire . I'm based in Scotland so the Archives office is too far for a quick check !
I'd like to find the mother and father of William morley, born abt 1802 at Woodhouse or Woodhouse Eaves . died in 1871 , married an Alice (unknown) born between 1793 and 1801 from kinoulton in Nottinghamshire .

many thanks Rik

Hi Diddy, I'm in the central belt (Edinburgh Glasgow Falkirk) but often visit my aunt in Aberdeen , if I can help ,I will with anything Scottish.
The Next closest Morleys appear to be Bingham Granby, and Whatton in Nottinghamshire. this is my next step.to add them or discard them .

Hi Rik

I am also researching the Morley family with Loughborough & Nottingham City - Sneinton/St Annes connections. I've been surprised at how many Morleys there are, wherever I search!
I'm currently trying to find the parents of John b. Loughborough 1814/15 & details of any of his siblings. William is one of the family names which keep popping up along with Charles, Henry & Richard.
John was also married at All Saints but 10 years later in 1835.
Hope you manage to find some answers

Good luck

Carol

Hello Carol, I'm sorry I've not a mention of a John Morley in my line at all at the moment, will keep my eye out though

Rik

btw if your part of the Ancestry site, I don't mind inviting you to the Tree. There appears to be three major lines of Morleys in Loughborough , East Leicester and Bingham. The connection is just a seach away !
