Falkland Islands rellies
« on: Monday 21 March 05 09:25 GMT (UK) »
No, not penguins or sheep!!

Mary POWNEY was born in the Falkland Islands in about 1867, In 1881 she is found living in  Calne, Wiltshire with her aunt and uncle (an ag lab), their children and three of her own siblings.

Will there have been a census of the Falklands in 1871?  Can it be accessed easily?

Can I find out about her parents at all?  I would imagine they are dead by 1881, but would their deaths be recorded in the usual fashion?

Thanks for your advice/ opinions
