Updating info on the family found so far..
1871 Census..Cheshire has shown that the Manning's were still on Guernsey in 1851, (son John born there at this time)
On checking that great 1841 census for Jersy/Guernsey online..
St Peter port, Guernsey.
St. John's St.
Colonel Haviland. Ind. B. Guernsey.
John Manning (groom) 35 B. Guernsey.
Martha Manning. 25 B. Guernsey.
Mary (dau) 6 B. Guernsey.
Alice (dau) 4 B. Guernsey.
Harriet (dau) 2 B. Guernsey.
Sarah (dau) 8mths. B. Guernsey.
Although i have no records of these earlier daughters, on checking the same Church that my GtGtGrandmother married at in Cheshire, i found a marriage for Alice Manning (born Guernsey) so pretty sure i am on the right line.
Anyone know how i would be able to access the 1851 for Guernsey
