Looking for any connections or information on a
emma midgley born about 1844 at rochdale,  she was the 2nd wife of christopher heape [heaps] married 1880 at rochdale.

If this is them in 1891, Emma's date and place of birth is ca1844 in Smallbridge:-

Christopher Heape 62 head m chip potato restaurant keeper born Clitheroe
Emma Heape 47 wife m born Smallbridge
Eliza Simpson 58 boarder w born Smallbridge
Betty Emma Simpson 27 boarder s born Smallbridge

RG12/3341/27 p 1

As Coombs has already posted the marriage certificate would really help because hopefully it will confirm the name of her father.  Also it might indicate if it was her 2nd marriage too and therefore Midgely may be her 1st husband's surname and not her maiden name.

i would still order a cert....there is also another Emma Midgely b 1845 smallbridge ..living with her aunt and uncle.

The reason why I thought it might have been a 2nd marriage was that she would have been 36 in 1880.

I have emma's marr. cert. and this is her father & mother
Born about 1844 I think not sure when she died. she was on 1891 census.
Husband Christopher heape [heaps] died 1908 informant on cert. was a ellen heape- daughter, not sure if emma was alive or not.
