I am just posting this one for you to check out. as the name is relatively uncommon.

Plenty of Mary's on the same page.

Jessu Doggett, Q4 1840 Hendon, Middlesex, Volume 3, Page 144

Jessie Doggett, who was full age, married Mary Kemp on 15 Nov 1840,   St Lawrence, Little Stanmore
Middlesex, Harrow Borough. Father   Richard Doggett, her father John Kemp

I see William Henry Doggett, son of Jesse and Mary is baptised 15th May 1842 in Watford, although born 3rd June 1837. (aged 4).

Do you think that William Henry Doggett could have been born before Jesse and Mary married as I cannot find a birth reg for a William Henry Doggett (although I have not looked extensively and he may not have been registered).

On the 1841 census someone has corrected a John and Mary Doggett to Jesse - is that you?,  below them are a family of Kemps with a William aged 4.

Hi Andrea

See my post above regarding William Henry - its only a thought.

They say they were bachelor and spinster.

i am in contact with the person who appears to have  added an alternative name on 1841 census
but i do not know if she is right as it is written as john not jesse

Yes I agree, the 1841 says John and not Jesse.
