Thanks, everyone......I'm having to check all this back with my mother......can't be 100% sure, but we reckon it was the Cyril Albert Peach born in 1916.

Mmmmm.........& yes......the name of "our" Cyril Peach's wife was Hilda........

Sadly then Hilda too passed away in March 1985 she married Cyril Albert Peach in 1949.


From looking at census and who married who Cyril's father was a Thomas Evan Peach bn 1890 Nottinghamshire and his parents were Averil Peach bn circa 1859 Brampton Huntingdonshire and Louisa Kinsey bn circa 1864 Shropshire

Oh thank you......that could be VERY useful......Huntingdonshire is very close to where Elizabeth Peach (my possible gggg grandmother) was born...in Northants.....close to the border

Very sorry to hear about Hilda.....& I know my mother will be too. The information you've given me strengthens the theory that Elizabeth Peach was my gggg grandmother & that I'm a distant relative of Cyril Peach.

going further back through to the earlier census Averil was the son of Thomas bn circa 1827 and Ann.

This Thomas was then the son of John Peach bn circa 1800 Huntingdonshire and Sarah Warrington bn circa 1806 Huntingdonshire.
