Hi Jade - This has been o the back burner for a little while  :D I have a number of Donaldson's and Mitchell's in my tree and there may be a connection somewhere  ??? Alva is not that big a place (was last there in the late 1970's)

From the IGI. yours i assume.
John Mitchell married Janet Donaldson 16 Jan 1813 Alva.
children that I can find
Mary 13 Jun 1816.
James 06 Nov 1813.
John 07 Sep 1820.
All born Alva.

John Mitchell and Ann McFarlane marr 28 Dec 1844 Alva.

Have to be at the Dr's this morning, give me a wee while and will see what I can sort out.

All the best Patvp
