CWGC Graves in Crewe - COMPLETED

CREWE (COPPENHALL) CEMETERY
BAILEY. FRANK ALBERT, 3663675, PRIVATE, South Lancashire Regiment, Grave 1901.
The Son of Frank Thomas Bailey and Clara Elsie Bailey, husband of Doris Bailey, of Buddileigh Betley, Staffordshire.  Private Bailey enlisted with and served with the South Lancashire Regiment upto the time of his death on the 4th September 1942 aged 21.  Private Bailey died in the UK Whilst on active service

CREWE CEMETERY
HOPE. WILLIAM THOMAS, 3658791, GUNNER, 75 (Shropshire Yeomanry) Medium Regt. Royal Artillery, Sec. A. B. Grave 126.
The son of Thomas and Fanny Hope, of Crewe, Gunner Hope Originally enlisted with the South Lancashire Regiment before transferring to the Royal Artillery serving with the 75 (Shropshire Yeomanry) Medium Regiment, serving in North Africa and Italy.  Gunner Hope is also remembered on the roll of honour loacated in St. Mary's Church Shrewsbury. It is most likely that Gunner Hope dies of wounds sustained
