Children's Employment Commission 2nd
« on: Tuesday 22 March 05 01:44 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I have the ACDB CD of the 1842 Children's Employment Commission 2nd Report which I have now finished with - it does make fascinating reading. I'm willing to pass it on to someone else who could make more use of it in return for a small donation to my daughter's Oxford Funds and postage from NZ.

Hello Martha,
The material on the CD is brilliant - I even found family members who were interviewed by the Commission - poor kids! The cost depends where you are living - if in Britain a fiver folded into a piece of paper and posted in a handwritten well-sealed envelope.
If America US$10 note; Canadian $10 note; Australia A$10 - I can easily convert all these currencies with commission.
My address is

If you send me your address and let me know when you have posted payment I'll get the CD away to you.
This is a genuine ACDB CD and it hasn't been copied from.
Best wishes, Natalia

That's great.  I posted the money this afternoon.
I am really looking forward to having a look at the cd.  It sounds fascinating.
It must have been wonderful to find some of your relatives in there, although I'm sure they must have endured terrible times.
Thanks yet again.

Hello Marsha,
Your letter arrived safely an hour ago - boy, did I get a shock. Thanks so much that was extremely generous of you. If there is anything in the way of lookups I can do for you let me know. The National Library here has probate indexes, BMD indexes and lots of directories etc - and is only 15 minutes drive away!
Thanks you so much again, Natalia
